DELIVERABLE EXPECTATION DOCUMENT Clause Samples
A Deliverable Expectation Document clause defines the requirement for a detailed document that outlines the specific standards, criteria, and requirements for deliverables under a contract. This document typically specifies what is to be delivered, the quality benchmarks, timelines, and any particular formats or processes to be followed. By clearly setting out these expectations, the clause helps ensure both parties have a mutual understanding of deliverable requirements, reducing the risk of disputes and misunderstandings regarding project outcomes.
DELIVERABLE EXPECTATION DOCUMENT. Prior to initiating development of each Contractor Deliverable, the Contractor must prepare a DED and obtain the State’s approval for such DED. The State review period for the DED shall be no less than three (3) calendar days during Phase 1 and no less than ten (10) business days during Phase 2. The DED’s goal is to ensure a common understanding exists between the State and the Contractor regarding the scope, format, and content (depth and breadth) of the Deliverable prior to the Contractor beginning work on the Deliverable. The complexity of the DED will be proportional to the complexity of the Deliverable. The DED must summarize the key content of the Deliverable including, where appropriate, checklists, key figures, diagrams and tables. All DEDs are themselves a Deliverable and due for delivery to the state in accordance with the terms of the Agreement. Formal DED approval shall occur in accordance with the Deliverable Acceptance Document (DAD) process below. The Contractor, at Contractor’s risk, may proceed with Contractor Deliverable preparation prior to DED approval.
DELIVERABLE EXPECTATION DOCUMENT. To establish and clearly define the content and format for certain written Deliverables, Contractor shall develop and propose for HHSC’s approval a Deliverable Expectation Document (DED) for each written Deliverable specified in these Supplemental Services. Upon acceptance by HHSC, the DED will establish a common, agreed-upon understanding between HHSC and the Contractor regarding the purpose, scope, content, and acceptance criteria for the specified Deliverable and to provide a process to verify the Deliverable meets the requisite standards. The complexity of the DED shall be proportional to the complexity of the Deliverable.
DELIVERABLE EXPECTATION DOCUMENT. All deliverables under this Contract will require completion of the Deliverable Expectation Document (DED) to be submitted with each deliverable. Refer to Exhibit G for further details.
