Delayed Commencement Sample Clauses

A Delayed Commencement clause sets out the conditions under which the start date of a contract or specific obligations may be postponed. Typically, this clause details the events or requirements—such as regulatory approvals, delivery of materials, or completion of prior tasks—that must be satisfied before the agreement becomes effective or work begins. By clearly defining when obligations commence, the clause helps prevent disputes over timing and ensures that both parties are prepared to fulfill their responsibilities, thereby reducing the risk of premature performance or breach.
