Common use of Deduction of Monthly Service Fee Clause in Contracts

Deduction of Monthly Service Fee. County agrees to deduct once each month from the pay of employees covered by this Agreement, a monthly service fee equivalent to membership dues from any employee who is a member of the bargaining unit and who has not joined Federation within thirty (30) days of employment. This service fee shall be segregated by Federation and used on a pro rata basis solely to defray the cost of its service in negotiating and administering this contract.
