Dedicated Transport Sample Clauses
Dedicated Transport. A DS0-, DS1-, or DS3-capacity transmission facility between Verizon switches (as identified in the LERG) or UNE Wire Centers, within a LATA, that is dedicated to a particular end user or carrier. Dedicated Transport is sometimes referred to as dedicated interoffice facilities ("IOF"). Dedicated Transport does not include any facility that does not connect a pair of Verizon UNE Wire Centers.
Dedicated Transport. Dedicated Transport is defined as BellSouth’s transmission facilities between wire centers or switches owned by BellSouth, or between wire centers or switches owned by BellSouth and switches owned by NewPhone, including but not limited to DS1, DS3 and OCn level services, as well as dark fiber, dedicated to NewPhone. BellSouth shall not be required to provide access to OCn level Dedicated Transport under any circumstances pursuant to this Agreement. In addition, except as set forth in Section 5.2 below, BellSouth shall not be required to provide to NewPhone unbundled access to interoffice transmission facilities that do not connect a pair of wire centers or switches owned by BellSouth (Entrance Facilities).
Dedicated Transport. 6.2.1 BellSouth shall offer Dedicated Transport in each of the following ways:
6.2.1.1 As capacity on a shared UNE facility.
6.2.1.2 As a circuit (e.g., DS0, DS1, DS3) dedicated to Tel West.
6.2.2 Dedicated Transport may be provided over facilities such as optical fiber, copper twisted pair, and coaxial cable, and shall include transmission equipment such as line terminating equipment, amplifiers, and regenerators.
6.2.3 Tel West may obtain a maximum of twelve (12) unbundled dedicated DS3 circuits, or their equivalent, for any single route at the UNE rates set forth in Exhibit A for which dedicated DS3 transport is available as unbundled transport. Additional capacity may be purchased pursuant to the rates, terms and conditions as set forth in the applicable tariff. A route is defined as a transmission path between one of BellSouth’s wire centers or switches and another of BellSouth’s wire centers or switches. A route between two (2) points may pass through one or more intermediate wire centers or switches. Transmission paths between identical end points are the same “route”, irrespective of whether they pass through the same intermediate wire centers or switches, if any.
6.2.4 Any request to re-terminate one end of a circuit will require the issuance of new service and disconnection of the existing service and the applicable charges in Exhibit A shall apply, and the re-terminated circuit shall be considered a new circuit as of the installation date.
6.2.5 If Dedicated Transport is not readily available but can be made available through routine network modifications, as defined by the FCC, Tel West may request BellSouth to perform such routine network modifications. The request may not be used to place fiber. Each request will be handled as a project on an individual case basis. BellSouth will provide a price quote for the request, and upon receipt of payment by Tel West, BellSouth shall perform the routine network modifications.
Dedicated Transport. An Unbundled Network Element that is purchased for the purpose of transporting Telecommunication Services between designated Serving Wire Centers (SWC). Dedicated Transport may extend between two GTE SWCs (Interoffice Dedicated Transport or IDT) or may extend from the GTE SWC to the CLEC premise (CLEC Dedicated Transport or CDT). CDT remains within the exchange boundaries of the SWC, while IDT traverses exchange boundaries.
Dedicated Transport. A DS0-, DS1-, or DS3-capacity transmission facility between Frontier switches (as identified in the LERG) or UNE Wire Centers, within a LATA, that is dedicated to a particular end user or carrier. Dedicated Transport is sometimes referred to as dedicated interoffice facilities ("IOF"). Dedicated Transport does not include any facility that does not connect a pair of Frontier UNE Wire Centers.
Dedicated Transport. A DS1 or DS3 transmission facility between Verizon switches (as identified in the LERG) or wire centers, within a LATA, that is dedicated to a particular end user or carrier. Transmission facilities or services provided between (i) a Verizon wire center or switch and (ii) a switch or wire center of Covista or a third party are not Dedicated Transport.
Dedicated Transport. II-3 1.26
Dedicated Transport. Dedicated Transport is defined as AT&T’s transmission facilities between wire centers or switches owned by AT&T, or between wire centers or switches owned by AT&T and switches owned by TWTC, including but not limited to DS1, DS3 and OCn level services, as well as dark fiber, dedicated to TWTC. To the extent AT&T has local switching equipment, as defined by the FCC’s rules, “reverse collocated” in a non-incumbent LEC premises, the transmission path back to the AT&T wire center shall constitute Dedicated Transport. AT&T shall not be required to provide access to OCn level Dedicated Transport pursuant to this Agreement.
Dedicated Transport. Dedicated Transport is defined as BellSouth’s transmission facilities between wire centers or switches owned by BellSouth, or between wire centers or switches owned by BellSouth and switches owned by Global Crossing. Including but not limited to DS1, DS3 and OCn level services, as well as dark fiber, dedicated to Global Crossing. BellSouth shall not be required to provide access to OCn level Dedicated Transport under any circumstances pursuant to this Agreement. In addition, except as set forth in Section 5.2 below, BellSouth shall not be required to provide to Global Crossing unbundled access to Dedicated Transport that does not connect a pair of wire centers or switches owned by BellSouth (“Entrance Facilities”).
Dedicated Transport. A transmission path between one of CenturyLink’s Wire Centers or switches and another of CenturyLink’s Wire Centers or switches within the same LATA and State.
