Day works Sample Clauses

A "Day works" clause defines how work that cannot be measured in advance is to be paid for, typically on a time and materials basis. Under this clause, contractors are compensated for labor, materials, and equipment used, with rates and procedures usually pre-agreed in the contract. This approach is often used for unforeseen or additional tasks where the scope cannot be precisely quantified beforehand. The core function of the Day works clause is to provide a fair and transparent method for valuing and paying for extra work, ensuring both parties have clarity on compensation for variable or unpredictable tasks.
