Day works Sample Clauses
A "Day works" clause defines how work that cannot be measured in advance is to be paid for, typically on a time and materials basis. Under this clause, contractors are compensated for labor, materials, and equipment used, with rates and procedures usually pre-agreed in the contract. This approach is often used for unforeseen or additional tasks where the scope cannot be precisely quantified beforehand. Day works. 6.7.1 If applicable, the Day work rates in the Service Provider's Tender shall be used for small additional amounts of Services only when the Procuring Entity has given written instructions in advance for additional services to be paid in that way.
6.7.2 All work to be paid for as Day works shall be recorded by the Service Provider on forms approved by the Procuring Entity. Each completed form shall be verified and signed by the Procuring Entity representative as indicated in Sub-Clause1.6 within two days of the Services being performed.
6.7.3 The Service Provider shall be paid for Day works subject to obtaining signed Day works forms as indicated in Sub-Clause6.7.2
Day works. 56.1 If applicable, the Day works rates in the Contractor's Bid shall be used for small additional amounts of work only when the Project Manager has given written instructions in advance for additional work to be paid for in that way.
56.2 All work to be paid for, as the Contractor on forms approved by the Project Manager shall record Day works. Each completed form shall be verified and signed by the Project Manager within two days of the work being done.
56.3 The Contractor shall be paid for Day works subject to obtaining signed Day works forms.

Charges for day-work will include labour, plant, materials, establishment charges and expenses including travelling time. The records for day-work will be provided on standard day-work record forms and will be submitted to the Customer on request not later than 15 days following the day on which day- works have been carried out.
