Common use of Day Off Work Clause in Contracts

Day Off Work. All shifts will be filled by departmental seniority order by Supervisors who can work the entire period of time offered in the following order on a recorded line: i. First by Supervisors on a regular day off; ii. Supervisors already on duty, available to work additional time when a shift is broken up; iii. Supervisors already assigned overtime work (for partial shifts only); iv. Supervisors who are temporarily in the Training Department / Special Assignment; and v. Supervisors on vacation or on a floating holiday. Superintendents shall review the proper application of all overtime assignments.
