DATA and TEXT MINING Clause Samples

The DATA and TEXT MINING clause defines the rights and limitations regarding the automated analysis of content for extracting information or patterns. Typically, this clause specifies whether users are permitted to use computational tools to mine data or text from the licensed material, and may outline any restrictions, such as prohibiting commercial mining or requiring attribution. Its core function is to clarify the extent to which data and text mining activities are allowed, thereby preventing disputes over the use of content for research, analytics, or other automated processing purposes.
DATA and TEXT MINING. Member Institutions and Authorized Users may conduct research employing data or text mining of the Licensed Materials and disseminate results publicly for non-commercial purposes.
