Creditable Service. For the purpose of providing creditable service reporting to the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) as defined in Education Code Section 22138.5, the following establishes the District service standards for a year of service credit:

Creditable Service. Increment pay shall be granted for service in the Indiana General Assembly provided that the faculty member accrues one (1) year of creditable service, the service being the equivalent of one hundred twenty (120) full days teaching service acquired during a twelve (12) month period ending June 30. No other public office holding shall qualify for increment pay.
Creditable Service. For the purpose of determining years of creditable service under this Section, "creditable service" shall mean the number of years credited to a school Administrator's TRS account for which contributions have been received as required by statute or rule.

Effective July 1, 2001, an employee who terminates employment with the County, except a termination due to layoff, and does not return within twelve (12) months will be considered to have a break in creditable service for purposes of determining eligibility for longevity pay. All time served prior to the termination will not count as creditable service for longevity pay. Any period in which an employee was, while employed by White Pine County, called into the service for the United States Armed Forces involuntarily will be considered as creditable service for computation of longevity pay.
Creditable Service. Any person employed in the capacity of full-time employee shall, for the purpose of determining salary, benefits or compensation, including vacations, be considered to have been appointed as of the date of hiring.

Creditable Service. (1) Creditable service shall mean membership service.
Creditable Service. Unit members hired between 07/01/68 and 12/31/74 shall, upon completion of one hundred twenty (120) months of full-time creditable service as defined in Section A 1, A 2, and A 3, of this Article, accrue vacation leave at the rate of 2 1/12 days per full payroll month of employment until they have completed three hundred (300) months of creditable service at which time they shall accrue vacation leave at the rate of 2 1/2 days per full payroll month of employment. In all other respects such employees shall be subject to the provisions of this Article.
Creditable Service. For placement, creditable service can include a combination of teaching experience and directly related work-experience not to exceed placement on Step 4. Adjunct faculty shall be given credit to a maximum of five (5) equivalent years prior teaching, non instructional counseling, librarian experience outside the District (placing the faculty at Step 3) for teaching experience in an accredited secondary school or college/university.
