Common use of County Response Clause in Contracts

County Response. If the County does not respond to a grievance within the specified time limit for the Step, the grievance shall be deemed denied and may be appealed to the next Step within the applicable time limits. If a grievance is not presented or appealed to the next Step within the specified time limit, it shall be considered waived. The time limit at any Step may be extended by mutual agreement of the County and the employee or the Union.
