Conversion to Continuing Status. Where a Staff Member has been appointed on a Curtin Research Contract in the same Faculty/Area over a continuous period of 7 or more years, they will be eligible to apply for, and will be granted Continuing Appointment status, provided that the Staff Member: a) was appointed through a merit selection process; b) in the case of an Academic Staff Member, has a PhD or equivalent higher degree qualification (if the appointment is at Level B and above);
