Contractor Verification of Existing Conditions. In the case of such projects, the A/E shall incorporate into the Construction Documents such requirements as will fix with the GC the responsibility to verify the accuracy of information provided for existing construction conditions, to verify existing conditions and promptly disclose in writing any variances and request directions, to verify the presence of underground utilities and improvements, and to protect existing facilities, including, but not limited to, data networks, intrusion alarms, surveillance systems, intercoms and other infrastructure, from damage resulting from construction operations.
