Contractor-Caused Sample Clauses

The "Contractor-Caused" clause defines situations where delays, damages, or failures in a project are directly attributable to the actions or omissions of the contractor. In practice, this clause is used to distinguish between issues caused by the contractor and those resulting from other parties or external factors, such as weather or client changes. By clearly identifying contractor responsibility, the clause ensures that accountability is properly assigned and helps allocate risk, often serving as the basis for remedies like penalties, liquidated damages, or denial of time extensions.
