Common use of Continuous Improvement Processes Clause in Contracts

Continuous Improvement Processes. Nurses will be invited to 11 participate in continuous improvement processes addressing patient care. There will be 12 meaningful inclusion of nurses in these discussions and processes. Nurses’ 13 participation will be in numbers sufficiently meaningful to represent their perspective. All 14 time spent by bargaining unit members participating in these processes will constitute 15 working time and will be compensated accordingly. The Agency will seek in good faith 16 to allow nurses the necessary time off for such participation, subject to the operational 17 requirements of the Agency. Nurses shall not suffer a loss of scheduled hours due to 18 their participation in these processes, provided they are willing to work the make-up

Nurses shall not suffer a loss of scheduled hours due to 18 their 23 participation in these processes, provided they are willing to work the 24 make-upup hours (at the regular rate of pay) necessary to reach their 25 scheduled status.
