Continuation During Leave Sample Clauses
The 'Continuation During Leave' clause ensures that certain rights, benefits, or obligations under an agreement remain in effect even when a party is on an approved leave of absence. For example, an employee may continue to accrue benefits or maintain insurance coverage while on parental or medical leave, or a contractor may still be bound by confidentiality obligations during a temporary suspension of services. This clause is essential for maintaining continuity and protecting both parties' interests during periods when normal work or contractual duties are temporarily paused.
Continuation During Leave. Employees who wish to continue their participation in benefit and insurance plans during a leave of absence without pay, except maternity or child care leave, or layoff, may do so within the limits of the various plans. Such employees will, in addition to their share, be responsible for the Company's share of the premiums for such plans in accordance with arrangements made between the Company and the employee.
(a) Employees on maternity or child care leave who wish to continue their participation in benefit and insurance plans during their leave may do so subject to the employee, within a reasonable time, paying the employee share of the contributions for such plans for the period of the leave.
(b) (Premium waiver during absences due to illness/injury will be resolved during discussions held pursuant to Article 19.03.01.)
