Content design and development Sample Clauses
Content design and development. Doing the work on the content to drive / make clear the user journey. Analysing, information design (the best way to present the information) and writing content in the most usable and user-centric way – across all formats and products. Some content is page-based and some is context-based in a journey or transaction. Web operations personnel (sometimes called systems administrators, operations engineers or site reliability engineers) run the production systems and help development teams build software that is easy to operate, scale and secure. This involves expertise in infrastructure, configuration management, monitoring, deployment, security, scalability, capacity planning and operating production systems. User needs are at the heart of all digital by default services, and to meet them both the services and initial assumptions need to be tested with real users. Research continues throughout the design, build and operation of a service. Product research can incorporate both qualitative, and quantitative techniques. Qualitative techniques are intensive and often small scale. These include focus groups and 1:1 interviews, and are typically used to explore and analyse unstructured data. Quantitative techniques involve higher-volume research, and include online surveys, face-to-face interviews, and involve a structured approach to data collection and analysis. Strategic research also uses quantitative and qualitative methods, and is used to help understand the appetite for a product or service – typically looking at the size of the market, trends, type of users etc. Secondary data, also known as desk research, can be used, and involves the analysis of existing research or information sources. Ideally, secondary research should be conducted before embarking on any research project to understand what is already known, and what research is required to fill the knowledge gaps. This can range from published research, news article, or internal research that has been conducted previously.
