Consultant 3 a) An employee at the classification of Consultant 3 is expected to have formal qualifications at Degree level and 3-5 years professional work experience. b) A Consultant 3 is expected to have excellent professional skills, gained through tertiary qualifications and work experience. They are required to provide specialist expertise or advice in their relevant discipline/s, to develop and implement methods in their work area or discipline, to undertake complex tasks, to manage projects, and to oversee the work of other employees. Their work may be under the general direction of senior employees, or may be self-directed. c) The role of Consultant 3 is to: - provide specialist consulting services - work with and assist senior Consultants - contribute to the planning, management, monitoring and review of projects - prepare proposals (including interpreting project briefs, developing project methods, costing projects, making initial contact with clients) - contribute to finding work for the practice - manage projects and project teams including subconsultants - direct / supervise Consultants at Level 1 and 2 - contribute to planning and management of practice in specific areas as requested - maintain and develop relationships with clients, and - provide a support role across the practice as required.
