Construction Area. Contractor shall protect property and facilities adjacent to the construction area and all property and facilities within the construction area which are shown on the plans are to be protected. After project completion, the construction area shall be in a clean and presentable condition. All public or privately owned improvements and facilities shall be restored to their original condition and location. If improvements or facilities are damaged, they shall be replaced with new materials which are at least equal to the original materials. Nothing herein shall be construed to entitle the Contractor to the exclusive use of any public street, way, or parking area during performance of the Work. Contractor shall conduct its operations so as not to interfere with the authorized Work of utility companies or other agencies in such streets, ways or parking areas. The Contractor shall be responsible for investigating conditions of available public and private roads and of clearances, restrictions and other limitations affecting transportation and ingress and egress to the site of the Work. Use of equipment will be minimized during any Stage II or Stage III smog alerts. All equipment will meet emissions standards. Dust Control is required at all times. All proper public safety measures are to be used during construction, including barriers, flagmen and signing. Equipment must conform to all applicable noise regulations.
