Common use of Constitutional Status of Eastern Michigan University Clause in Contracts

Constitutional Status of Eastern Michigan University. The University is a constitutionally established body corporate operating as a state public university. In approving this Contract, the University Board voluntarily exercises additional powers given to the University Board under the Code. Nothing in this Contract shall be deemed to be any waiver of the University Board’s constitutional autonomy and powers and the Academy shall not be deemed to be a part of the University. If applicable, the University Board has provided to the Department the accreditation notice required under Section 502 of the Code, MCL 380.502.
