Conscientious objections. Any unit member who holds conscientious objections to membership in employee organizations or who is a member of a religious body whose traditional tenets or teachings include objections to joining or financially supporting employee organizations shall file a declaration to that effect with the Association (CSEA ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ , ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ) and District and shall not be required to join or financially support the Association except that he/she shall pay on a monthly basis, in lieu of a service fee, sums equal to such service fees to a non-religious, non-labor organization charitable fund exempt from taxation under Section 501 (c) (3) of Title 26 of the Internal Revenue Code: Boy Scouts and/or Girl Scouts of America and Dublin Partners in Education. Proof of payment shall be submitted annually to the District as a condition of continued exemption from the provisions of Article 2.2.
