Computing Sick Leave Sample Clauses
The "Computing Sick Leave" clause defines how an employee's entitlement to sick leave is calculated. It typically outlines the method for determining the amount of sick leave accrued, such as a set number of days per year or accrual based on hours worked, and may specify whether unused sick leave can be carried over to subsequent years. Computing Sick Leave. For the purpose of computing sick leave accumulations, the following shall be counted as days of service:
1. Any hours that the employee works for the Employer.
2. Days on which the employee is on approved Employer paid leave of absence pursuant to terms of this agreement.
3. Days on which the employee is on vacation.
4. Days on which the employee is on sick leave pursuant to the terms of this agreement.
5. Days on which the employee is absent from work while receiving temporary WorkSafe NB benefits, and
6. The days on which the employee is absent from work while attending official negotiation sessions with the Employer.
Computing Sick Leave. Holidays granted in this Agreement and regular days off shall not be counted in computing sick leave taken.
