Comprehensive General Liability Coverage. i. The Contractor shall maintain EITHER of the following: 1) Commercial General Liability coverage in amounts not less than $1,000,000.00, each occurrence, with a general aggregate of $2,000,000.00 for both bodily injury and property damage; or 2) Commercial General Liability coverage in amounts not less than $1,000,000.00, along with umbrella liability coverage of at least $1,000,000.00, for both bodily injury and property damage. In either event, this coverage must include: (a) Blanket contractual coverage to provide coverage for the liability assumed by the Contractor under the indemnity provision of the contract involved. Such Certificate must specifically state that such contractor is insured and it must be signed by an authorized representative of the insurance company. (b) Contractor’s protective coverage for its subcontractors. (c) If excavation, collapse, or undermine perils are involved in the work to be performed, coverage for the hazards commonly referred to as the X, C & U exclusions, where excavation, collapse or undermine perils are necessary.
