Commencing Date. Child Care leave will commence at a date to be determined by the employee and her physician. The Board may require a statement from the employee's physician indicating the inability of the employee to perform her duties beyond the designated date. The beginning and ending date of a child care leave shall be scheduled so as to coincide as closely as possible with some natural break in the school year or pay period. In cases of adoption, the child care leave shall commence up to one (1) day prior to the date the child has been placed in the home of the employee requesting the child care leave.
