Common use of Combination Service Clause in Contracts

Combination Service. Trainmen performing more than one class of road service in a day or trip, will be paid for the entire service at the highest rate applicable to any class of service performed. The overtime basis for the rate paid will apply for the entire trip. When a trainman is engaged during a trip or day’s work partly as a conductor and partly as a brakeman or baggageman, he will be paid for the entire service at the rate of pay of the highest rated occupation in which he was engaged.
