Collaborative Relations Clause Samples

The Collaborative Relations clause establishes the expectation that parties to an agreement will work together in good faith to achieve shared objectives. In practice, this clause may require regular meetings, open communication, and the sharing of relevant information to facilitate cooperation throughout the duration of the contract. Its core function is to foster a spirit of partnership and prevent misunderstandings or disputes by ensuring both parties are committed to mutual support and problem-solving.
Collaborative Relations a. The parties are encouraged to engage in informal and formal processes to identify problems and craft solutions to better serve the Agency’s employees, mission, and the public. b. Use of interest-based problem solving to resolve issues outside of Partnership Councils is strongly encouraged. c. Decisions and agreements reached by the parties in collaboration are binding on the parties to the extent permitted by law and governmentwide rule or regula- tion, or required by executive order.

The Parties will notify one another of emerging topics or initiatives that may affect conditions of employment, and they are encouraged to become predeci- sionally involved to facilitate the early identification and resolution of issues by the Parties and provide the opportunity for participants to add value to the outcome. d. Decisions and agreements reached by the Parties in collaboration are binding on the Parties.
