Coaching Responsibilities. The faculty member who serves as an Interscholastic Coach for the College will be compensated with 50% release time for each of the Fall and Spring Terms during which the faculty member serves as a coach.

Coaching Responsibilities. The Athletic Directors will meet with the principals informing them of the coaches’ responsibilities in making sure that coaches are able to perform their coaching duties. Coaches whose schedules conflict with current teaching assignments must coordinate in advance with building principals and athletic director to ensure that student athletes are supervised by the coaches hired for that activity throughout the practice or contest. Due to district scheduled events, coaches who must leave their teaching responsibilities early must coordinate class coverage with the building principal or his/her designee. Fundraising activities or out of season coaching will not be required. Any activities outside of the specified WIAA defined season will be entirely voluntary and cannot be used explicitly or inferentially in any evaluative process. Any potential disciplinary actions as a result of district-approved activities outside of the specified WIAA defined season must follow the due process section of this document (Article III, section 2).
Coaching Responsibilities. STERIK’S Sport Development Inc. coaches understand that STERIK’S Mt. Hood Summer Camp is a mentorship program, and their each and every move shall be under the observation of our campers and community. Any/all coaches shall uphold an exceptionally high standard of professionalism and athleticism at all times. It is the coaches responsibility to act as the direct representation of STERIK’S Sport Development Inc. as a brand, and as leaders and mentors to the campers. Coaches are expected to reflect a strong worth ethic, grit, and determination at all times. Coaches shall lead by example and perform as both coaches and athletes, at their highest capability each day. Our coaches shall not dictate our campers progression pathway at any time, rather encourage independent thinking and self-directed goal formation. It is the coaches responsibility to be directly involved with and participate with every aspect of our campers daily learning experience. Guidance and insight shall be provided as requested by our campers (in the moment), to most effectively assist with the personal skill development goals the campers have set for themselves. Each coach shall abide by and adhere to the following practices: - Be fully prepared and ready to participate for the full duration of any/all sessions. - Report to each camper at the beginning of each session and request they present their focuses for that day. - Facilitate a judgement free, positive and uplifting atmosphere, and learning experience each day. - Offer instruction and guidance one-on-one, structured to the desired progression of the camper. - Ensure that any/all campers are accounted for and directly and/or indirectly supervised at all times. - Ensure that their is one coach at the front, leading the group, and one coach at the back, trailing the group, at all times. - Abide by the STERIK’S Mt. Hood Summer Camp Health & Safety Program in all activities. - Implement any/all procedures outlined in the accident response policy in the case of any/all accidents. - Promote that campers maintain a mature and self-driven state of mind at all times. - Set and/or follow the moving pace of the group at all times. - Perform to their highest athletic capability at all times. - Lead by example and participate with all aspects and activities included in the campers daily learning experience. - Demonstrate unfaltering commitment to our campers progression as both athletes and individuals.
