CNC Clause Samples
The CNC clause, often standing for "Change No Charge" or "Customer Notified and Consented," primarily governs how changes to a contract or order are handled without incurring additional charges or requiring explicit customer approval. In practice, this clause may specify that minor modifications to specifications, delivery schedules, or services can be made by the provider as long as they do not materially affect the agreed terms or cost, or it may require that the customer be notified and must consent before any changes are implemented. The core function of the CNC clause is to streamline the process for minor adjustments while protecting both parties from unexpected costs or unauthorized changes, thereby ensuring transparency and mutual agreement in contract modifications.
