11.3 On behalf of the Meeting, the Acting Chair thanked the Chair for steering the meeting through some difficult discussions. He also thanked the interpreters, technical staff, Secretariat team, and staff at Dunedin Leisure Lodge for their effort in ensuring a seamlessly run event. He extended his sincere thanks to the Government of New Zealand for hosting the meeting, the memorable excursion, and the welcome reception organised during the week. He also thanked the Royal Forest & Bird Protection Society of New Zealand for their evening event.
11.4 The Acting Chair then acknowledged the valuable contributions of delegates to a successful meeting and noted the achievements of the session, including a strong Resolution which recognises the work needed to address the conservation crisis faced by albatrosses and petrels, the adoption of priority conservation actions for the next triennium and full financial support for the RFMCO Engagement and the Communications strategies. He also acknowledged the flexibility shown by Parties in adopting the 2026 - 2028 Budget and he encouraged Parties to use the information presented to, and the decisions made at this MoP to deliver conservation actions for ACAP species.
11.5 The Meeting thanked the Acting Chair for his work in the lead up to and during MoP8.
11.6 A traditional Maori farewell was given by ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, who acknowledged the good work of ACAP despite the challenges.
