Client Categorization. 10.1. The Company shall treat the Client as Retail Client by default. The Company offers to the Client the possibility to request reclassification. Where a Client requests different classification, he needs to meet certain specified quantitative criteria. 10.2. On the basis of the Client’s request, the Company undertakes an adequate assessment of the expertise, experience and knowledge of the Client to give reasonable assurance, in the light of the nature of transactions or services envisaged that the Client is capable of making his own investment decisions and undertaking the risks involved. However, if the above-mentioned criteria are not met, the Company reserves the right to choose whether to provide services under the requested classification. 10.3. The client category will determinate the level of protection afforded to the Client under applicable legislation. A “Retail Client” is afforded with the highest regulatory protections available. Professional Clients are considered to be more experienced, knowledgeable and sophisticated and able to assess their own risk and are thus afforded fewer regulatory protections.
