Common use of Classification Review Request Clause in Contracts

Classification Review Request. If an employee or supervisor believes that the placement of an employee’s classification assignment warrants a review, the employee or supervisor may request a review provided the position has not been reviewed by the Human Resources Office in the previous six (6) calendar months. An employee’s classification is not eligible for a review for the first year of employment. Requests for review will be submitted in writing to the Human Resources Director/AVP and the employee’s immediate supervisor and will contain the following: a) a current classification description questionnaire completed by the employee; b) a concise and specific statement as to why the employee believes the current classification assignment is inappropriate and the specific reasons therefore; and, c) a concise and specific statement of the classification sought (which must be a currently existing classification), and the specific reasons therefore.
