Class Description. This basic S.W.A.T. course is for individuals or teams who are full-time, sworn law enforcement officers. This course involves heavy physical activity and participants should be prepared to meet both a minimum physical requirement, as well as a mental challenge. This course will focus on tactical skills that will prepare the officer to function as a team member. Also covered will be team organization, operations and movement involving dynamic and deliberate clearing procedures, less lethal considerations (with certification), vehicular takedowns, manual breaching, weapons handling/use, and simunition training.
