Common use of City Modification of Scope of Services Clause in Contracts

City Modification of Scope of Services. The City may, without invalidating this Agreement, order changes in any task by altering, adding to or deducting from the Consulting Services to be performed. All such changes shall be in writing and shall be performed in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. If any such changes cause an increase or decrease in the Consultant’s cost of, or the time required for, the performance of any of the Consulting Services, the Consultant shall so notify the City. If appropriate, an equitable adjustment to the Consultant’s compensation may be made, provided that any adjustment must be pre-approved by the Parties in writing; the City’s approval shall come from the City Council.
