C&I Requirements. (1) The Contractor as part of the works information provides a Control & Instrumentation detailed design report prior to execution of the works during the detail design scope freeze as stipulated on the C&I VDSS. • All the documents required to be submitted by the Contractor during the design freeze shall be supplied as part of design data pack. • The detail design report shall be in line with Eskom detail design report template (240-49910707) attached in Appendix D. (2) The instrumentation requirements are detailed in the following Works Information documents: • Appendix A: P&ID’s for the plant in an 'as required' state • Appendix B: Instrument schedule • Appendix C: Limits of Supply and Services (LOSS) • Appendix D: List of Applicable Standards • Appendix E: Applicable Eskom Drawing Temples • Appendix F: Vendor Document Submittal Schedule (VDSS) (3) The Contractor designs the chlorine analyser with the following functional requirements: • Built-in local digital indication that can be programmed to indicate the range and the engineering units of the process. • Be able to interface to the DCS via a 4-20mA output port. • IP 67 and comply with EN standards based EMI/EMC ratings. • All analogue field equipment must be ▇▇▇▇ devices • A minimum drift-free-period guarantee of 10 years.
