Check Deposits. All other checks drawn on financial institutions in the U.S. will be available on the first or second day after the day of deposit, depending on the routing number on the check. The location of the routing number is shown in the shaded boxes below: Customer Name Address, City, State Pay to the Order of Bank Name Location Some checks are marked “payable through” and have a four- or nine-digit number nearby. For these checks, use this four-digit number (or the first 4 digits of the nine-digit number), not the routing number on the bottom of the check, to determine when they will be available.
