Check Deposits. All other checks drawn on financial institutions in the U.S. will be available on the first or second day after the day of deposit, depending on the routing number on the check. The location of the routing number is shown in the shaded boxes below: Customer Name Address, City, State Pay to the Order of Bank Name Location Some checks are marked “payable through” and have a four- or nine-digit number nearby. For these checks, use this four-digit number (or the first 4 digits of the nine-digit number), not the routing number on the bottom of the check, to determine when they will be available.

Check Deposits a. All check endorsements must be made in the first one and one-half inches of the trailing edge of the back of the check. The trailing edge is opposite the left side of the face of the check. You will be responsible for any costs incurred by the Credit Union due to delays in returning checks deposited into your account that do not comply with these endorsement standards.

Check Deposits. In order for a check to be accepted for deposit it must be payable in U.S. Dollars; include on the front of the check (i) a magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) line containing a complete U.S. routing and account number, and check serial number; (ii) the preprinted name and address of the drawer (maker) of the check; (iii) a preprinted check serial number; and be drawn on an account held at a financial institution's deposit-taking office in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa or Northern Mariana Islands. These checks must be either payable to your business or to American Express National Bank. We accept most types of government, payroll, personal and other checks for deposit to your Account.

Check Deposits. After we accept a check for deposit, we will attempt, acting on your behalf, to collect the funds from the fnancial institution on which it is drawn. We will exercise ordinary care when collecting on your behalf, but we are not responsible for errors, lost items or delays made by others in this collection process. It is your responsibility to ensure that the amount you declare with your deposit is accurate. We reserve the right to use the declared amount (for example, on a deposit form or other instruction) as the correct amount to be deposited and to not adjust your account for the deposit error if the error is less than our standard adjustment amount. If the deposit error is less than our standard adjustment amount, we may not adjust the deposit unless you notify us of the error within 60 days of the date of your account statement that shows the deposit. If you do not notify us of the error within 60 days, the deposit amount indicated on the account statement will be considered fnally settled. This means if the actual amount deposited was less than the amount on your statement, the diference will become your property, and if the actual amount deposited was more than the amount on your statement, the diference will become our property. We may change our standard adjustment amount from time to time without notice to you. We report adjustments on your account statement.
