Change in Basic Assignment. 6.4.1 The District may request a regular employee to add time to his/her work day through the acceptance of substitute or short term assignments or duties. A reasonable attempt will be made to offer additional time by seniority in the same classification at that site on a rotational basis. 6.4.2 An employee who works beyond thirty (30) minutes a day in excess of his or her part time assignment, for a period of twenty(20) or more consecutive work days, shall be entitled to the fringe benefits provided by the District and statute on a pro-rated basis consistent with the increase in time actually worked. This can include vacation, sick leave and the District’s benefit allotment (if applicable).
