Change in Basic Assignment. 6.4.1 The District may request a regular employee to add time to his/her work day through the acceptance of substitute or short term assignments or duties. A reasonable attempt will be made to offer additional time by seniority in the same classification at that site on a rotational basis.
6.4.2 An employee who works beyond thirty (30) minutes a day in excess of his or her part time assignment, for a period of twenty(20) or more consecutive work days, shall be entitled to the fringe benefits provided by the District and statute on a pro-rated basis consistent with the increase in time actually worked. This can include vacation, sick leave and the District’s benefit allotment (if applicable).
Change in Basic Assignment. 5.3.1 Consistent with section 45137 of the Education Code, any unit member who works a minimum of thirty (30) minutes per day in excess of his or her regular part-time assignment for a period of twenty (20) consecutive working days or more shall have his/her basic assignment changed to reflect the longer hours in order to acquire fringe benefits on a prorated basis pursuant to section 45136. This does not waive the Parties right to negotiate over increase of hours.
