Certification Tests. 4.1 With respect to a Business Day to be chosen by the IESO in its sole discretion between May 1, 2017 and May 5, 2017, the IESO shall issue a test Standby Notice and test Activation Notice that would otherwise be in accordance with Section 3.0 of Schedule 7, except that the Activation Period shall only be one hour as specified in the test Activation Notice (the “Test Activation”). For greater certainty, Schedule 1 shall not apply to the Test Activation and for the purposes of Section 3.9 of Schedule 7, the Test Activation shall not be included in the total number of Activation Notices the IESO can issue. a. The Service Provider shall cause the Demand Response Resource to respond to the Test Activation as though it were the subject of an Activation Notice received during the Contract Service Term for the one hour specified in the test Activation Notice (the “Certification Test”). b. If the Measurement Data in respect of the Certification Test shows that the Service Provider caused the Demand Response Resource to provide Delivered Demand Response in an amount greater than or equal to 85% of the Contract Capacity multiplied by one hour, the test shall be considered passed, otherwise, the test shall be considered failed. 4.2 If the Certification Test is failed, then with respect to a Business Day to be chosen by the IESO in its sole discretion between May 15, 2017 and May 19, 2017, the IESO shall issue a subsequent test Standby Notice and test Activation Notice that would otherwise be in accordance with Section 3.0 of Schedule 7, except that the Activation Period shall only be one hour as specified in the test Activation Notice (the “Second Test Activation”). If the Measurement Data in respect of the Second Certification Test shows that the Service Provider caused the Demand Response Resource to provide Delivered Demand Response in an amount greater than or equal to 85% of the Contract Capacity multiplied by one hour, the test shall be considered passed, otherwise, the test shall be considered failed. 4.3 Within five (5) Business Days after the Certification Test or the Second Certification Test, as applicable, the IESO shall notify the Service Provider of whether the Certification Test or Second Certification Test, as applicable, was passed, and if so, the date of Certification (the “Service Commencement Date”) shall be the later of (i) the date all of the requirements of this Schedule 2 have been achieved and confirmed by the IESO, and (ii) June 1, 2017. 4.4 If the Service Provider fails both the Certification Test and the Second Certification Test, it shall be an Event of Default.
