CEQA Addendum Sample Clauses
A CEQA Addendum is a legal document used to update or supplement an existing environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) when minor changes or additions to a previously approved project are proposed. It is prepared when the proposed modifications do not result in new significant environmental impacts or substantially increase the severity of previously identified impacts, thus avoiding the need for a new or supplemental Environmental Impact Report (EIR) or Negative Declaration. The core function of a CEQA Addendum is to streamline the environmental review process for project changes that do not warrant a full re-evaluation, ensuring regulatory compliance while saving time and resources.
