Common use of Casual Rights Clause in Contracts

Casual Rights. ‌ (a) Wherever possible casuals who do not have full-time employment elsewhere and who wish to make the Company their primary place of employment will be assigned work in accordance with their seniority (i.e. date of hire). Otherwise casual employees shall enjoy no seniority rights under this Agreement other than Article 1.06 of this Agreement. (b) Unless casual employees have worked six (6) consecutive days, they must be available to receive a call in for work between the hours of 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. If employees are unavailable, they will go to the bottom of the list for that day.
