Common use of Casual Register Clause in Contracts

Casual Register. 1) A casual employee shall be registered for work in those departments specified in the letter of appointment. Casual employees may request placement on the register for additional departments. All such requests must be in writing. 2) The Employer shall maintain a master casual register which shall include a list of all casual employees employed by the Employer at that worksite in descending order of their seniority, the seniority hours, and the mutually agreed departments in which the casual employee will work. 3) Seniority on the master casual register shall be updated every three months as of the last date of the payroll period immediately prior to January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 each year. The updated list shall be posted at the worksite.
