Common use of CAREER INCENTIVE PROGRAM Clause in Contracts

CAREER INCENTIVE PROGRAM. ‌ Section 1. The City has accepted the provisions of Chapter 41, Section 108L of the General Laws which established a career incentive pay program offering base salary increases to permanent full-time police officers as a reward for furthering their education in the field of police work. This acceptance shall only apply to employees hired before May 30, 2012, including reserves, provisionals, and those in the police academy on that date. Section 2. Employees hired after May 30, 2012, and employees hired before that date but who were not enrolled in a degree granting program in the field of criminal justice or criminology on that date, shall receive the following for degrees: Section 3. All employees hired before May 30, 2012, including reserves, provisionals, and those in the police academy on that date, and receiving a full ▇▇▇▇▇ benefit under Chapter 41 section 108L shall continue have that base salary increase included in their pay at the same percentage level as was in effect at that date: i.e. 10% Associates Degree, 20% Bachelor’s Degree, and 25% Master’s Degree, regardless of changes to c.41 sec 108L or its funding.
