Common use of CalWORKs Clause in Contracts

CalWORKs. CalWORKs is a program that provides cash aid and services to eligible needy California families, with the goal of transitioning them into the workforce. Through the CalWORKs program, funds are provided for alcohol and drug treatment for CalWORKs clients in order to help them obtain and retain employment. Services are provided through the County’s network of providers. Treatment needs are identified in the client’s Welfare-to- Work Plan.
