Common use of Call Time/Overtime Clause in Contracts

Call Time/Overtime. An employee called to work outside of his/her regularly scheduled shift shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the overtime rate. If the call time work assignment and the employee's shift overlap, the employee shall be paid the call time rate until the completion of the two (2) hours of work. The employee shall then be paid for the balance of the regular work shift at the appropriate rate. Overtime for over two (2) hours shall have a paid fifteen (15) minute break period. Employees working overtime may take an unpaid meal period of up to thirty (30) minutes during four (4) hours or more of overtime work.
