Calamity. When an early dismissal is warranted, teachers shall not be required to remain more than twenty (20) minutes following the dismissal of students.
Calamity. In the event school is closed due to weather-related calamity for more than thirty-six and one-quarter hours (36.25) (5 days) of instruction in a school year, teachers will be required to work or make up all work hours missed in excess of the first thirty-six and one-quarter hours (36.25) (5 days). Make-up hours will be determined by the Superintendent in collaboration with the GFT President. Make-up hours can include but are not limited to work instructional hours, preparation hours, In-service hours, collaboration hours, and the like under the District’s remote learning plan. In the event school is ordered closed due to epidemic, teachers are required to work in accordance with the District’s remote learning plan. This provision shall not apply to days on which school is delayed or released early due to calamity.

CALAMITY DAYS 19.01 A calamity day is a school day when school is closed or delayed due to epidemic, inclement weather, or other calamity. Calamity days over the state allotted days are required to be made up and Employees will not be compensated for working these makeup calamity days. When schools are closed due to epidemic or other calamity, Employees shall be paid at the regular rate of pay and not have sick leave or personal leave charged against their accounts. If more than five (5) calamity days are used, all days in excess of the first five (5) will be made up, without additional compensation, with either student instructional days and/or professional development days, unless the Board approves a shorter minimum school year. Employees who are required to work on a calamity day (when school is closed) shall be paid normal calamity day pay, as well as time and one-half for all hours worked. If an employee is at work when the calamity day is declared the employee shall receive time and one-half for all hours worked as well as the calamity day pay. On days when the start of school is delayed due to inclement weather, bargaining unit members shall be required to report to work as early as the weather and road conditions permit.
War We do not Cover an illness, treatment or medical condition due to war, declared or undeclared.
Earthquake including land shock waves or tremors before, during or after a volcanic eruption;
Vandalism Vandalism of UNIT and/or PROPERTY (with reference to both the room, UNIT, and all Common Areas) will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate minimum fine of $100 in addition to the costs of repair to the vandalized property being passed on to TENANT.
Unrest the Flag State of a Mortgaged Vessel or the country in which any Security Party is incorporated or domiciled becomes involved in hostilities or civil war or there is a seizure of power in the Flag State by unconstitutional means unless the Owner of the Vessel registered in such Flag State shall have transferred its Vessel onto a new flag acceptable to the Banks within sixty (60) days of the start of such hostilities or civil war or seizure of power; or
Act of God Landlord shall not be required to perform any covenant or obligation in this Lease, or be liable in damages to Tenant, so long as the performance or non-performance of the covenant or obligation is delayed, caused or prevented by an act of God, force majeure or by Tenant.
Weather During weather unsuitable for the proper execution of the Work in a first-class manner, all Work affected by such condition shall be properly protected from weather-related damage.
Accidents If a death, serious personal injury or substantial property damage occurs in connection with CONTRACTOR’s performance of this Agreement, CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify Mendocino County Risk Manager's Office by telephone. CONTRACTOR shall promptly submit to COUNTY a written report, in such form as may be required by COUNTY of all accidents which occur in connection with this Agreement. This report must include the following information: (1) name and address of the injured or deceased person(s); (2) name and address of CONTRACTOR's sub-contractor, if any; (3) name and address of CONTRACTOR's liability insurance carrier; and (4) a detailed description of the accident and whether any of COUNTY's equipment, tools, material, or staff were involved.
Terrorism Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary within this insurance or any endorsement thereto it is agreed that this insurance excludes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any act of terrorism regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to the loss. For the purpose of this Exception an act of terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or the threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisation(s) or government(s), committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public, in fear. This Exception also excludes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to any act of terrorism. If the Company allege that by reason of this Exception, any loss, damage, cost or expense is not covered by this insurance the burden of proving the contrary shall be upon the Insured. In the event any portion of this Exception is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
Earthquake Insurance If Lessor desires to obtain some form of earthquake insurance in the future, if and when available, on terms acceptable to Lessor as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Lessor, then as a condition of Lessor agreeing to waive the requirement for earthquake insurance, Lessee agrees that it will pay, as additional Rent, which shall be included in the monthly CAC, an amount not to exceed Forty Seven Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Three Dollars ($47,833) per year.
