Calamity. When an early dismissal is warranted, teachers shall not be required to remain more than twenty (20) minutes following the dismissal of students.
Calamity. A calamitous event is an event of significant nature such as flood, fire, earthquake, etc. In such instances, the unit member will exhaust available paid leaves leave prior to accessing the bank. Unit members who qualify for calamity leave will be able to utilize their sick leave prior to receiving donations from the leave bank.
Calamity. In the event school is closed due to weather-related calamity for more than thirty-six and one-quarter hours (36.25) (5 days) of instruction in a school year, teachers will be required to work or make up all work hours missed in excess of the first thirty-six and one-quarter hours (36.25) (5 days). Make-up hours will be determined by the Superintendent in collaboration with the GFT President. Make-up hours can include but are not limited to work instructional hours, preparation hours, In-service hours, collaboration hours, and the like under the District’s remote learning plan. In the event school is ordered closed due to epidemic, teachers are required to work in accordance with the District’s remote learning plan. This provision shall not apply to days on which school is delayed or released early due to calamity.

  • CALAMITY DAYS 1. All employees shall be paid their appropriate rate of pay for all days or a part of a day when schools in which they are employed are closed owing to an epidemic or other public calamity such as, but not limited to, severe weather conditions (O.R.C. 3319.081(G)).

  • DISTURBANCES Tenant and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the agreed upon number people, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises. HOLD HARMLESS iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control. BALCONY / TERRACE Tenant hereby acknowledges that the unit they have reserved may include a balcony and/or terrace, which can be dangerous areas. That these areas can become slippery when wet, and that injury may occur to anyone who is not careful. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings, the undersigned Tenant accepts and assumes all risks involved to Tenant and all of Tenant's guests in or related to the use of the balcony areas. DECK / POOL / BEACH Tenant hereby acknowledges that the property they have reserved includes a deck, pool and beach, which can be dangerous areas. The deck can become slippery when wet, and injury and drowning may occur to anyone who is not careful around the pool, beach and deck. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings, the undersigned Tenant accepts and assumes all risks involved to Tenant and all of Tenant's guests in or related to the use of the deck & pool. MAINTENANCE Please report any maintenance needs to the front desk. All maintenance needs will be addressed immediately by our maintenance crew available 24/7. Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to heating and air conditioning, pest control, appliances, televisions, and stereos.

  • Earthquake including land shock waves or tremors before, during or after a volcanic eruption;

  • Vandalism Vandalism of UNIT and/or PROPERTY (with reference to both the room, UNIT, and all Common Areas) will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate minimum fine of $100 in addition to the costs of repair to the vandalized property being passed on to TENANT.

  • Act of God Landlord shall not be required to perform any covenant or obligation in this Lease, or be liable in damages to Tenant, so long as the performance or non-performance of the covenant or obligation is delayed, caused or prevented by an act of God, force majeure or by Tenant.

  • Weather 16.1 MEMOIRE will not be held liable by the CLIENT and the CLIENT will not have any claim of whatsoever nature against MEMOIRE as a result of MEMOIRE not being able to provide services as a result of weather, fire or any sudden unforeseen event that may prevent it from fulfilling its obligations.

  • Accidents If a death, serious personal injury or substantial property damage occurs in connection with CONTRACTOR’s performance of this Agreement, CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify Mendocino County Risk Manager's Office by telephone. CONTRACTOR shall promptly submit to COUNTY a written report, in such form as may be required by COUNTY of all accidents which occur in connection with this Agreement. This report must include the following information: (1) name and address of the injured or deceased person(s); (2) name and address of CONTRACTOR's sub-contractor, if any; (3) name and address of CONTRACTOR's liability insurance carrier; and (4) a detailed description of the accident and whether any of COUNTY's equipment, tools, material, or staff were involved.

  • Terrorism Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary within this insurance or any endorsement thereto it is agreed that this insurance excludes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any act of terrorism regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to the loss. For the purpose of this Exclusion an act of terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or the threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisation(s) or government(s), committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public, in fear. This Exclusion also excludes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to any act of terrorism. In the event any portion of this Exclusion is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect. EFFECTIVE DATE AND TERMINATION
