Bump Test. Renter agrees to bump test the Equipment before each day’s use to confirm the Equipment is working properly and their ability to respond to gas by exposing the detector to a gas concentration that exceeds the alarm setpoints. Renter agrees to manually verify that the audible and visual alarms are activated. Owner recommends that Renter engage Owner to calibrate the Equipment if the readings are not within the specified limits.
Bump Test. ‌ This feature provides the user with the ability to perform a full bump test, testing alarm set points and sensor response. When gas is applied, using Test Gas Cylinders, for a pre-set time, the audible and visual alarms will activate, and the unit will record a ‘Pass’ when the target values are attained. To select / change the instrument gas type, ensure from the ‘Bump Test / Calibrate’ section, ‘Test’ is selected. Then, from the appropriate ‘Gas Input’ section, select the required gas type from the drop down list. The example in Fig. 3-4 shows Methane selected from ‘Gas Input 1’.
