Bulk Materials Handling. 6.4.1 System Description Majuba power station is the first coal fired power station within Eskom to receive coal by rail. The power station makes use of a double cage rotary tippler to offload coal from the train wagons. A train arrives daily with approximately 100 jumbo wagons. Each wagon is able to transport approximately 84tons of coal. The dumper empties 2 wagons at a time. The design cycle time is 144 seconds; therefore it takes approximately 2 hours to offload the entire train.
