Building. A Control Building is provided for the 230kV system. The Control Building is constructed of hardened pre-cast concrete. The Control Building houses the relay, control, and monitoring devices plus all of the support equipment, i.e., station battery systems, AC/DC distribution, HVAC, etc. The primary and secondary protection and controls are each located in separate rooms. The Control Building has been designed with ample space to allow the installation of relays and fault recording equipment required for Phase II.
