Common use of Building Modifications Clause in Contracts

Building Modifications. The LDAA may not make any alterations or modifications to the Building without prior approval by LCPS. Modifications would include attachment of items to the walls, painting, and other projects which alter the Building or grounds. Any improvement or change approved by LCPS becomes the property of LCPS. Items may not be hung on walls in any fashion, including with tape or adhesive hooks, without the prior approval of LCPS. Display items will be reviewed through the process designated in this MOU. Building signage, interior or exterior, may not be changed by the LDAA without the permission of LCPS. Additionally, temporary signs, including sandwich boards and yard signs, may not be posted on or placed on the property without the permission of LCPS. LCPS will provide display cases for artifacts to be shared between LCPS and LCPS-related Historic Organizations, including the LDAA, which will help coordinate proposed exhibits and their installation in LCPS cases. Furniture for dedicated spaces will be selected by LCPS and provided to the LDAA. At least one furniture item provided by LCPS will have lockable storage for the sole use of the LDAA. The LDAA will not be permitted to bring any additional furniture into the building. However, a small amount of additional artifact staging space elsewhere in the building may be provided by LCPS to LDAA as the exhibit curator to queue up exhibits about to be displayed. LCPS will not receive mail, packages, or other deliveries on behalf of the LDAA and will establish separate suite addresses for building occupants, if feasible with the US Postal Service.
