Btu Content Clause Samples
The Btu Content clause defines the required energy value, measured in British thermal units (Btu), of a fuel or gas being supplied under the contract. It typically specifies the minimum or range of Btu content that the product must meet, and may outline procedures for testing and verifying compliance, as well as remedies if the Btu content falls outside the agreed parameters. This clause ensures that the buyer receives fuel of a consistent and predictable quality, thereby protecting both parties from disputes over energy value and performance.
Btu Content. Heating value determination shall be done according to methods prescribed in Article 11. Daily MMBtu shall be calculated and accumulated using continuous data from a chromatograph when available. The average monthly Btu per cubic foot shall be calculated by dividing the sum of the daily total MMBtu for the month by the sum of the daily total Mcf for the month.
Btu Content. The Btu content of the gas delivered hereunder shall be determined at the Delivery Point each month based upon the average Btu content per cubic foot of all gas delivered during such month. The results of tests for Btu content per cubic foot of gas shall be adjusted to reflect actual conditions of gas at the Delivery Point. The parties agree to rely upon the results of tests conducted by Transporter.
