Bodily Harm. A. Any unit member who is threatened with bodily harm or suffers bodily harm by an individual or group while carrying out his/her assigned duties shall promptly make a report to the principal/superintendent who shall inform the designated law enforcement authority, when appropriate. B. The employer shall give direct legal and other related assistance in accordance with applicable law for any assault upon the teacher while acting in the discharge of his/her duties. C. When absence arises out of, or from such assault or injury, the teacher shall not forfeit sick leave or personal leave.
